The success of Big Data initiatives in any organization is very much dependent on the analytical skills of the management. As business schools seek to have an edge in an increasingly competitive management education sector, developing programs that meet the market need is an important step. To address the increased demand for qualified talent in SAS and data analytics, more schools will need to create their own offerings. For business schools, the first step in this journey is to sensitize their entire faculty to the whole gamut of analytics.

Jigsaw Academy, a premier online analytics training academy, launched its analytics workshops for Business school faculty earlier this month. It all began with Jigsaw Academy’s tour of Business Schools in India earlier this year. Having launched a Data Science and Analytics training programme exclusively for MBA students, Jigsaw wanted to personally engage with Business School students, spread awareness about the emerging field of data science and explain why analytics is crucial for managers of the future. The workshops were very well-received not only by students but also by the faculty and management of the business schools.
