Integrating interdisciplinary interests and entrepreneurial mindsets to create impactful solutions for pressing human needs. With user-centered design, behavioral sciences, biophilic design, nudge economics and more to innovate and solve real-world challenges.   • Design a fast and cost effective system to deliver a package from point A to B 

Get a package from a Bengaluru address to Delhi address by not using commercial or governmental means.

Use the human system and measure how many hand to hand exchanges it takes to get from Bengaluru to Delhi.

  • Design a process which includes the execution of the human system with graphic iteration of the reporting.

This Dare is proposed by Alok Nandi

  • Design the ideal work life balance for employees in the age of social distancing

With social distancing emerging as the new mantra, organisations are witnessing a huge shift in the way we work. 

 How can we design and create a work manifesto and cultural codes through means of communication.

  • Research 100 best practices and create a set of 10 cards  

This Dare is proposed by the Department of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj, Govt of Karnataka

  • Design Behaviour change towards waste management for the rural population of Karnataka and empathy towards personnel working with waste.

The Dept. of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj is creating over 1,000 Solid Waste Management units across Karnataka. But waste management, like sanitation, is a habit deeply coded in the people’s psyche. Change begins from the people.

How can we design a strategy and communication to nudge behaviours towards waste management among the people, build empathy towards those working with waste, 

  • Define the Strategy and Design the Communication for the rural audience as an immersive communication blueprint.

    Chief Strategy and Development Officer, Bangalore International Airport

    Satyaki is the Chief Strategy & Development Officer at BIAL. He has almost two decades of experience in working with public and private sector investors and operators of aviation and transport infrastructure advising on business, finance, strategy, regulatory and project delivery related initiatives across the world. During this time, he has had extensive experience with aviation system planning across major cities viz. Chicago, Dubai, Houston, Istanbul, London, New Delhi etc.Prior to joining BIAL, Satyaki was with GMR Airports Ltd as Chief Innovation Officer for the airport sector across the group. Before this he held leadership roles at London Stansted Airport, Dubai Airports, where he was Head of Master Planning and at LeighFisher, a specialist global airport advisory firm.

  • Alok B Nandi

    MD-Partner of Spread Design BV / Entrepreneur Strategist, Author, Speaker, Educator

    Alok Nandi is deploying innovation and design scenarios in multiple sectors. As creative entrepreneur and intrapreneur, he has followed the waves of digital transformation, designing for the web as of 1994 and then leading design teams for the .com presence of publishing companies in Belgium and France (Casterman, the publisher of a.o. Tintin; groupe Flammarion). He then got involved in EU funded R&D programs to explore storytelling with technologies, a.o. AR & VR installations for museums and public places. This made him co-founder of a spin-off specialised in interactive set-ups.Alok Nandi’s background combines electromechanical engineering, management and film studies. His first professional experience was brand management at Procter & Gamble. Regular jury member (in the start-ups world as well as in new media and cinema) and invited lecturer, he is visiting professor in design schools, MBA programs and at the Institut Paul Bocuse in Lyon, focusing on innovation, creativity and design with hospitality and culinary professionals.Specialties: Strategic design, interaction design, innovation and change management. Advisor, catalyst, conference speaker. Scenario planning, information architecture & design, knowledge management, design management, creative direction, strategic design.

  • Dr Raveendranath Nayak

    Director of School of Management, Manipal

    Professor Dr. Raveendranath Nayak, has extensive experience in teaching, research, consulting and management, which includes a career of eight years in India followed by twenty years in Australia. He is currently Director of School of Management, Manipal.His Ph.D. thesis on Corporate Sustainability earned in Swinburne University of Technology, Melbourne, Australia won him the 2007 Professor John O. Miller award for the most distinguished Ph.D. thesis in the University.  In his immediate previous academic position in Federation University, Australia, he was the Chair of the Academic Progress Committee and the Coordinator of International Engagement.As the Ph.D. guide, he has successfully supervised and examined several doctoral students. His research that focuses on sustainability of business organizations and academic problems of International students in Australian higher education institutions is communicated by publishing a book, a book chapter, and more than ten refereed journals and conference papers. Along with business researchers from Dalian University of Technology, Dalian, China, he has researched into the managerial behaviour for sustainable development of eco-industrial parks in China.

  • Yu-kai Chou

    Gamification Designer & International Keynote Speaker (Octalysis Group)

    Yu-kai Chou is an Author and International Keynote Speaker on Gamification and Behavioral Design. He is the Original Creator of the Octalysis Framework, and the author of Actionable Gamification: Beyond Points, Badges, and Leaderboards. He is currently President of The Octalysis Group and the Founder of Octalysis Prime, a Gamified Mentorship Platform. Yu-kai has been a regular speaker/lecturer on gamification and motivation worldwide, including at organizations like Google, Stanford University, LEGO, Tesla, TEDx, Boston Consulting Group, Turkish Airline, Huawei, the governments of UK, Singapore, South Korea, Kingdom of Bahrain, and many more.In 2015, Yu-kai was rated #1 among the “Gamification Gurus Power 100” by RISE, and was also awarded the “Gamification Guru of the Year” Award in 2014, 2015 and 2017 by the World Gamification Congress and the Gamification Europe Conference. Yu-kai sits as a Board Advisor for many organizations and companies throughout North America, Europe, and Asia.

  • Kaleem Kamboj

    Professor of Design Strategy and Managerial Entrepreneurship

    An entrepreneur with a successful background orchestrating start-ups as well as elevating organizational performance through skillful restructuring. Successful background building and leading top-performing teams focused on collaboration and exceeding goals in the areas of operations, marketing, and comprehensive development.Started teaching at Parsons School for Design in 1998 and received the Faculty Award in 2000. Co-authored and published several papers on Design and Organizational Management. Became an Assistant Professor in 2013. Taught many different courses over the years at Parsons and currently teaches Game Theory by Design and Global Professional Practices. His Specialties: R&D, AI, Data Science, Strategic/Tactical Planning, Competitor Analysis Marketing Strategies, Policy/Procedure Development, Problem Resolution, Project Planning, and Risk Management.

  • Dr. Emma Jefferies

    Organisational Consultant, HM Revenue & Customs

    Emma has made empathy and curiosity as her life passion. Being dyslexic she knows the importance of creating a supportive environment where people can thrive.She led on spreading a WE (Workplace Empathy) mindset in the UK government (and beyond) to support inclusion and wellbeing agendas.She has co-written 2 books on organisational transformations using Design Thinking. In her prior work as an organizational designer, user researcher and service designer in Saudi Arabia (Ernst & Young - Seren/ Minister of Labour in Saudi Arabia), India (Idiom), UK (Lloyds Bank), Brazil (Nokia - InDT) and The Netherlands (DesignThinkers Group), she  guided organizations of different sizes to develop continuous learning and growth-focused cultures that better align with the current business reality of fast changing customer expectations.

    Sonia Manchanda is a Design Strategist, Graphic Designer and Designpreneur

    Sonia Manchanda is a Design Strategist, Graphic Designer and Designpreneur, with 20+ years experience, building creative organisations of repute and leading transdisciplinary project teams on massive transformational projects for gov and industry nationally and globally. She is a Founding Partner at Spread Design + Learning, a transdisciplinary practice located at design farm where design is strategy, craft and a way of life. She has also set up the Design Barn, India’s first independent Design Center to bridge the design gap in India and make design accessible to everyone. Her Open Innovation and Design Strategy Project Dream:in has been awarded as a global game changer by Metropolis Magazine, USA.She is a graduate of the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad. She is an appointed member of the India Design Council, is on the CII Design Council and is a Governing Council Member of Forge, an incubator in Coimbatore. She is also a trustee at Nrityagram, the only ‘dance village’ in the world.

  • Deepak Menon

    Partner Design & Research Director @ Microsoft + Angel investor

    Deepak leads the Product Design and Research teams across products in the Experience & Devices (E+D) and Artificial Intelligence & Research (AI+R) divisions at Microsoft India. His team helped define the enquiry around ‘What is productivity for billions of mobile-only users’ which has led to product innovations like Kaizala and Microsoft Office –  mobile products that helps businesses connect with their value chain to collaborate and complete business workflows. Deepak was also responsible for designing and defining the Ribbon interface for Microsoft Office. He was also the driver for the Microsoft centre for Information work which reimagined the future of productivity and won the IDSA gold reward in 2003.Deepak has worked at Google leading User Experience teams in India and Seattle. He was also the Chief Product and Customer officer at Myntra where he led teams across multiple functions. He has completed his B.Arch. from REC Trichy, his M.Arch on a fellowship and MFA from The Ohio State University.

    Former Chief Creative Officer South and South East Asia and Vice Chairman India at OgilvyWith over a 30 year career, Sonal has led agencies to creative glory in 3 different markets across Asia. At Ogilvy Mumbai in the '90s, he helped drive the agency from creative anonymity to India's No.1 agency. He did the same with Ogilvy Kuala Lumpur leading the office to become the most awarded in Malaysia and one of the region's hottest within just three years. In the process winning Malaysia's first-ever Gold at an international award show- a One Show Gold. Ogilvy Singapore was next, where he led his team to become No.1 in the Creative Ranking in Asia, and the third most awarded office in the world at Cannes Lions 2007 – a first for an Asian agency.He returned to India in 2011 to head Bates, followed by a stint at DDB Mudra. If you are a fresh graduate of engineering, science, commerce, management, liberal arts, or a working professional with a year or two of experience, then this Program is for you.

If you are a graduate in any discipline, with a degree / diploma (12+3 years) and a minimum overall of 50% aggregate in the qualifying degree, then the PGC program is for you.

The average age of students is 26 to 30 years

At the core of the Program Design is Ms. Sonia Manchanda, a globally recognised Designer, awarded as a Gamechanger for her Dream IN Project. Sonia is a member of the India Design Council and an NID alumnus. She is a design evangelist with over two decades of experience in design, strategy, business and entrepreneurship across retail, healthcare, hospitality, education, experience, brands and businesses in the public and private sectors across geographies.

The PGC Program is an online Instructor Led Training Program of 5.5 months duration. There are 17 Credits across 8 courses, plus a Capstone Project at the end of the Program.

The courses have lectures and exercises that integrate concepts, toolkits, case studies, assessments and a Capstone project. The Program lets you engage in collaborative projects with student-mentor interaction. You benefit by learning in-person with expert mentors. Plus get personalised subjective feedback on your submissions to facilitate improvement.

The PGCP Program does not include electives. What you get are a strong foundation in Design Innovation Creativity and Entrepreneurship (DICE), industry driven dares, exercises and a Capstone Project at the end of the Program.

Yes. The courses are graded with 17 Credits spread across 8 Courses which you will take over a period of 5.5 months.

The Program is delivered by global design, innovation and creative practitioners and industry experts online, who mentor you to navigate a live industry project from start to end. So that you create new value and fresh meaning, and upskill to a successful and exciting future, faster.

The MIND campus is a 3000 sq.ft Studio located in Electronic City, Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. Since the program is being incubated, it offers you the experience of working and learning hands on in an online/offline project space as opposed to a classroom. 

The Post Graduate Certificate Program is offered Online, that you can take from the convenience of your home or anywhere else as long as there is a good internet connection.

This certificate is recognized by top industry bodies across India and the world. Plus you become a member of Manipal Global’s illustrious Alumni.

The Certificate is provided within one month of Program completion.

During the Program, you will get to work end to end on live industry capstone projects driven by some of the biggest companies from across the globe.The capstone project involves application of all the concepts learnt in the modules. The Program sets you up for success as a Creative Leader. Upon completion you have an industry driven live project in your portfolio plus a strong global industry connect thanks to MIND’s illustrious Global and Academic Council. Internships are offered by the council members to students. The internships have a strong potential of getting converted into placements and prospective careers. 

The 5.5 month Post Graduate Certificate Program has a fee of INR 80,000 (+ taxes), payable. There are no additional fees.

The PGCP Program does not have scholarships. But you are entitled to an early bird discount if you apply within offer period.

We do not have on-campus accommodation facilities. However there are many convenient OYO rooms/PG accommodations/ apartments and hostels available in the vicinity of the campus. We help our students choose from them.
